I was just thinking through the various items that will end up worse than before once the Capacity Enhancement scheme is done. Not thinking about all the temporary inconveniences, but the permanent losses.
1. Beckton line in peak hours, frequency down from 7.5 minutes (before) to 9 minutes (after).
2. West India flyover reduced from full time operation to peaks only, which leads to delays and conflicts at West Ferry outside peak hours that didn't happen before, and waste of the original West Ferry flyover investment for most of the time.
3. Cutback of the Lewisham-Stratford service to Canary Wharf at weekends. Not only was this through routing very popular but the connection onward to Beckton/Woolwich now requires a double change within half a mile, at Canary Wharf and at Poplar. Notably the TfL website now suggests changing at West Ferry for this route. Have they ever tried changing at West Ferry, needing to go right out of the station and acoss two roads to get between the platforms ? Do passengers touch out/touch in again ? Has this become an out-of-station interchange for Oyster ?
4. Once the Canning Town to Stratford line is complete, the services to Beckton and Woolwich will be split across widely separated platforms at Canning Town. Which way do you go when arriving on the Jubilee at Canning Town, or indeed when entering there on foot ?
Any others ?
