Coming up soon will be quiz day 1000 and we are looking for ideas to commemorate this. Any suggestions via PM to ChrisM please. Four locations to find, some bonus points one of which is for spotting the odd one out. *Click any image for a larger version*

You have A, B and C, so just D, the inset and the odd one out to find. Station A: Epping - view north from platform 1 [Chris M] Inset: Station B: Kensington Olympia - view from D stock [Chris M] Station C: Brixton - lift from street to ticket hall [Chris M] Station D: *Click any image for a larger version*

D is the area between the back of the stairs to the platform and the back of the ticket office at Mill Hill East.
Now, you just need to find where the inset in A is, and which is the odd one out (and why) between Epping, Kensington Olympia, Brixton and Mill Hill East.

I can't quite get there but maybe these thoughts will help someone else!
1. Is it to do with approaches being on single lines - MHE certainly, OLY not sure, Epping used to be (from the Ongar end)? 2. Epping and OLY used not to be termini - MHE had, I think, a BR line going beyond it, Brixton had a proposed extension...that's two odd ones out!

I recon Brixton is the odd one out, as services continued beyond all the others on the same formation.

Good thinking there, but termini (past, present or future) are not relevant to this question.

The inset is Craster. (I thought it looked like the Northumberland coast - a search on Google Images confirmed it!)
As for the odd one out - Epping, Mill Hill East and Olympia (or Addison Road) all originated with main line railway companies. Brixton (Victoria line) didn't.

The inset is Craster. (I thought it looked like the Northumberland coast - a search on Google Images confirmed it!) The inset is indeed a photograph I took of Craster in August this year. As for the odd one out - Epping, Mill Hill East and Olympia (or Addison Road) all originated with main line railway companies. Brixton (Victoria line) didn't. Brixton is the odd one out, and what you say is true, but that is not the reason I had in mind when setting the question

Was thinking single line terminus (only one terminating platform, as in MHE and Olympia). Only solution fitting that at Epping is the westbound terminating platform, as there IIRC is only one (ex-Ongar).

Apart from the obvious that Brixton is the only one not at street level. Or perhaps that they all opened with steam traction?
I thought it might be something to do with disabled access, but that would make MHE the odd one out as Brixton has lifts and MHE has steps.

Access is kind of on the right lines, but certainly not what we are looking for at this time.......

It's fair to say that Brixton is the odd one out, but not for any reason as yet outlined.......
A clue to help might be more to do with what is outside the stations, and not within......

Not sure if that's the case or not, but it isn't the answer we are looking for. Try thinking about what you can and can't do outside of these stations.......
