Yep it does work. Nice pic. How often does that train run on the LU? I asume its a mainline train?

It's primiarily the Chiltern Lines Sandite train, thus runs mainly Marylebone - Amersham - Aylesbury, Princes Risborough etc... I spotted it ambling through Aylesbury about two years ago!

This is a 3 car class 117 DMU that used to run on the Western Region out of Paddington until replaced by class 165 and 166 DMU Turbos. It was originally a 2 car unit but a reduntant DM car was bought by Chiltern Railways and the cab was replaced by a gangway. Thus the unit is made up of DMBS-MBS-DMBS!
It makes a frightful noise, actually thought a helicopter was trying to land as it ran through Harrow the other week! I have also decided to make one, by converting my old blue Lima cl 117 DMU! Photos to follow.
