What are the new trains officially called? Some people call the first batch B07s and the second batch B09s, and others say they all are B2007s. I also thought they were all B2007s, but I've just found this on British Trams Online: www.britishtramsonline.co.uk/oct09/newsdlr1.html{quote]The first of the DLR units part funded by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has been delivered and was revealed to the press at Stratford station. 22 units – of the same design as the B2007 units and believed to be designated B2009 – are on order with the ODA and TfL contributing £20 million each to enable enhanced services to run during the Olympics.[/quote] The units funded by the ODA are most, but not all, of the second batch (the second batch of units started at 125). This says that all trains from the first batch, and units 125 - 133 are B2007s, and units 134 - 155 are B2009s. Why would some units from the second batch be B2007s, even if they were funded by someone else? It would make more sense if the first batch were B2007s, and all of the second batch were B2009s. So, does anyone know what they are officially called?

They are all called B2007s - at least in my experience. At a guess, someone may have written in some document somewhere that the second batch are called B2009s which may have caused some confusion.
