National Express East Anglia have just published their Christmas shutdown list. With the exception of Christmas Eve (falling this year on a Thursday), the Central line will be conveying passengers every day between 24th December and 3rd January.
(Admins and mods, should you feel this thread fits better into a different board, please PM me so I know for future reference)
Friday 25th: no service
Saturday 26th: no service
Sunday 27th and Monday 28th: buses from Ilford, connecting into the Central line at Newbury Park
Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st December 2009: Services running to Stratford, central line from there into London
Friday 1st January to Sunday 3rd January: Buses from Ilford, linking into/out of the Central line at Newbury park.
Does anyone know if the Central line got away problem free over the last two years, or is this a third disaster waiting to happen?

Once again the Central Line supports everybody else.

Well the central won't be helping much on the 25th It's also fair to note that on the 26th most NR operators don't run a service, and there are only a handful of 'working days' between Christmas Eve and the 4th of Jan. (I wish they did run trains on boxing day, as I either get stuck away from home on Christmas Day or become reliant on lifts from family on the 26th).

I'm guessing that the usual pattern of working will apply during the period: there will not be any service enhancements to cover the NXEA closures.
