Coming through White City station last week I noticed the refurbishment work seems complete. In all not bad, the 'heritage' roundels outside are of the 1930s type, rather than 1940s, but TFL was never going to allow the title "London Transport" to grace a station again I fear. What with a modern cable management system running around the ticket hall and numerous CCTV cameras, plus the vandalism created earlier though UTS, there's probably little original left here; but the overall effect is still good. www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3927064692/www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3927075410/www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3926303529/www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3927093922/Now, a question. There used to an auxiliary ticket hall with three passimeters to the left (north) of the main entrance and used for greyhound racing/football crowds. I never saw this in use and it closed in the 1980s, the area I believe later being host to a mock ticket office used for UTS training. My query is, did this lead to a subway under Wood Lane or was there just access onto the pavement? The images on the LT Museum's website are unclear on this and my memory fails me on this one.

Will a passageway be built to link White City and Wood Lane together for the sake of interchange?

Will a passageway be built to link White City and Wood Lane together for the sake of interchange? I doubt it, there is a very simple interchange along the pavement!

The passage way lead to the pavement and is sealed off to the public by the Boswick gates , next door to the mini cab office. The area was prior to the refurbishment, offices for train crew management, but I am unsure when this done.

If you exit at Wood Lane and go straight to White City, does this class as an out-of-station interchange, or would you be charged 2 fares?

That is an out-of-station interchange.
