Is this the Central line sandite unit, or something along those lines?
Interesting to see a 59/62ts in corporate livery!

I think the taillights are there for visability. I agree, they look pants!

Well, that cat's out of the bag then; although a fair few hints were dropped beforehand. BTW the 8-car Sandite at Ruislip has also been re-liveried in red, white & blue; so there will now be one train at each end of the Central Line for leaf-clearing duties. The large tail-lights were fitted when that car was being used for 95/96TS pilot duties and painted dark green. At beginning of conversion - www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3906556241/Driving Motors nearing completion - www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3804055507/Trailers nearing completion - www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3907349024/www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3907362832/All credit should go to those responsible for improving these cars' appearance, even if it's ended that "blast from the past" experienced whenever an unpainted 62TS was (rarely) spotted out and about on the system. The modified livery had to be sanctioned right at the top of LU, design-wise, to ensure corporate ID rules were not breached. The 'wrapping' was done by the same firm that did Sarah Siddons' 4-TC set, who also do NR trains.

It transferred back to Ruislip depot this afternoon I believe. Seen here ready to go this morning: www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3926955376/Would have caught it on the main too but it was initially believed the move would be delayed until Friday so I abandoned that plan. Can't win em all...
