As shown in the thread 5066/5067, the last overhauls are now on the books for the A60/62 Stock. I was just wondering if anyone else knew of other units now going for their last overhauls? This would help me give an indication of which ones will be going first.  Thanks |

Thanks Not so much the last overhauls, its the units with the worst repair history that go first, IE the most unreliable ones. |

What is the time between overhauls? Every 18 months for a programme lift, but thats slipped a little in recent months. |

Heavy overhauls on A Stock haven´t been done (at Neasden) for the last three or four years - dates and units will follow later in the week.

As promised, the last A Stock overhauls, working backwards for a year:
5201 - 3/05 (the very last)
5173 - 1/05 (the ill-fated unit now withdrawn!)
5120 - 11/04
5112 - 9/04
5225 - 8/04
5223 - 6/04
5227 - 5/04
5215 - 4/04
5217 - 1/04
This is not to say that specific equipment maintenance and overhaul etc doesn't still take place, but the term "heavy overhaul" as we are familiar with, doesn't apply any more.
The majority of surviving A Stock units have had five overhauls which includes one half-life overhaul. Exceptions are as follows:
Six HOs - 5004, 5026, 5130
Four HOs - 5092, 5157, 5169, 5203, 5231, 5234.
The only other stocks to have "heavy overhauls" in the form as we know it are the 1967 on the Victoria at NPD, expected to cease soon, if it hasn't already, the 1972s on the Bakerloo at Stonebridge Park and the 1973s at Cockfosters.
