Seems like TfL are succeeding in transforming the NLL into a 'LUL like' service.
I got to West Hampstead for the 1940 service to Richmond today. All the departure boards were saying "1940 Richmond On Time" the platform had quite a few people waiting for this service.
Then at about 1944 the train disappeared off all departure screens, it just vanished!! No announcements or anything, we had the usual 'engineering work here, cctv, security and safety' nonsense announcements going on every minute but nothing about the services.
So I went upstairs and asked a member of staff what is going on with the 1940 to Richmond, he said it has been and gone. I told him it hasn't there is a platform full of people waiting for it, he says wait for the 1959 train (this is progress, on Silverlink it was every 15 minutes now its ever 20 with TfL!)
So I went back to the platform, not satisfied with his response. A train can not just disappear! So I called TfL traveline (72221234) and asked what has happened to the 1940 from West Hampstead to Richmond, the advisor told me that train had run on time and departed as scheduled from West Hampstead. I told him I was on the platform waiting for it, and it had not arrived, he said the driver probably never turned up, and I should want for the 1959!
Then at about 1955 the 1940 re-appeared on the departure screens, as if by magic !! They stated "1940 Gunnersbury Exp 1958"
The train turned up then.... what a disgrace and shambles, whats with the lack of information?? They really are trying to make it into a true TfL service aren't they
