Are any bits of this horizontal, or are both road and rail on a gradient?

The railway is on a significant downward gradient. I think the road is on a slighter upward gradient but I'm not completely certain.

You can see the road flats out from the uphill at the roundabout.

So the roundabouts are flat and everything else is going up or down?

The DLR track is level adjacent to the platforms, but otherwise yes.

From our viewpoint the DLR is on a viaduct having crossed a roundabout, descending to Beckton Park station under the roundabout, at the same time the road which is below us is rising up to the roundabout over the station. The other side of the roundabout the DLR rises and the road descends to the same level, before repeating their roller coaster ride for the next roundabout and station (Cyprus).
