In the lamented absence of CSLR, see if you can get a copy of 'The Amazing Electric Tube' - Appendix A has all the details you would need. I would type it up, but there is an *awful* lot of information.
There were certainly several batches of building - 1890 (1-14), 1891 (15/6), 1893/6 (17), 1898 (18), 1898-9 (19,20,21), 1899 - 1900 (22, 23-32), 1900-1 (33-42) 1901 (43-53).
I think there were/are some copies on alibris or amazon recently.

And if the author of that book doesn't know it, I very much doubt anyone else does!

Any maintenance records relating to the locomotives and rolling stock appear to have been destroyed when Stockwell depot was closed in the 1920s, so it was quite a task to draw this information together from other C&SLR and manufacturers records. The book you have has a lengthy appendix giving the construction and delivery dates of all of the locomotives, plus the reconstruction dates of all of those that were altered. There are also building dates for all of the carriages. The only dates that are missing are the exact rebuilding dates for the Ashbury carriages and exact withdrawal dates for all of the carriages. There are however some details of carriage and loco parts that were adopted as service vehicles. In addition to this, I can confirm from a depot engineers notebook of c1920 that: - The gauging car was converted from G F Milnes carriage no.52 - The bogies from Ashbury carriage no.5 were used under a cable truck. I think this answers almost all of your questions and am not sure what else can be added.
