The last two Sundays at 830pm London time (230pm here in the Southern US), I have seen departure boards for involved stations (West Ruislip, Ruislip Gardens, South Ruislip, and Northolt) at the TFL website advertise these as one of the next 3 trains. Are these scheduled moves? How would the train terminating at Ruislip Gardens reverse to return westbound? I understand that at Northolt an eastbound train can reverse in the opposite direction in the platform.

Possibly indication that the next Eastbound train is still heading Westbound to West Ruislip - and returning.

Trains can run into Rusilip depot from the westbound platform at Ruislip Gardens.

Trains can also reverse east to west at Northolt, either by shunting back into the siding, or by mainline shunt east of the station, then back over the crossover.
