Evening all,
I was browsing a CD-ROM of LT Museum posters, when I came across the following, by Lilian Dring, dating from 1933 or '38.
MRFS and I were puzzling over the mysterious word 'elpetebe', when it occurred to me in a flash today - of course it means LPTB - London Passenger Transport Board.
Just in case anyone else was wondering.
