A visit to the LTM Acton this weekend (Open Day) would confirm Dstock7080's obervations, as the LTM have a green DM there - No.16.

I understand now. Loving the LU is hard when you live in Ireland... The body of the DM of A is nearly finished. I'm building the trains for MSTS! There is a screenshot on UkTrainsim but it is old so i will upload one tonight.

I came across an excellent book today in the LT museum shop: 'Underground Movement' by Paul Moss. It is purely focussed at the rolling stock from past-future and has loads of photographs of interiors. There are many images I discovered in that book that cannot be found anywhere on the world wide web, for instance prototype interiors.
Therefore, this book should come in useful if you would like to see any additional photographs, artist impressions and computer generated images of the 1986 stock.

Theres an I Mech E paper on the 86ts, i remember reading this a long time ago (not long after it was published), to prepare for my LUL interview.
Its details are :
Title: London Underground prototype tube trains / AYLWARD R W, MINTER R H Paper Part of Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Part C Journal of mechanical engineering science incorporating the Journal of mechanical engineering science vol 200 No D1 1987
If you know a member you an normally get a copy from Library in Birdcage Walk for the cost of the photocopying, Not sure what the arrangement for non members are .
