I spotted a First Great Western Class 166 DMU approaching Dalston Kingsland westbound on Tuesday. An unexpected sight, anyone know what it was doing on the NLL?

Don't know about this sighting but these units were dragged to/from Ilford many years ago for some sort of attention. Somewhere in my collection I have a pic of one being hauled through Stratford.
Interesting that despite all the sharp intakes of breath over gauging issues when these units work off the old GW broad gauge routes, they don't appear to have too many problems!

Most likely it was coming from Ilford.
A Chiltern 165 is going to the GOBLIN in the near future so that a 15 minute service can be provided, seeing as the 172s are late.
