Anyone know why 8 cars of 62TS are moving from Ruislip to Neasden this week?

It's going to Neasden for wheel turning.

One of the two 62TS currently in Ruislip depot was used for moving the 95TS to the Northern Line when the stock arrived at Ruislip Depot. Maybe the same train is going to used for moving the S Stock and going to Neasden for modification work?

The train going to Neasden for wheel turning is the 8-car 'Sandite' train.

When the green unit existed it looked quite fetching.

It needs a good repaint, spruce up. Mind you, so does the A stock. That's older!

And frankly a lot of the A Stock fronts were worse.

Ooooh tantelising bit of teasing there Yeah, pity the poor A stock. Some are so white they look like theyve seen a ghost. Trouble is some probably have in Neasden...

Classic way of making the S Stock seem an improvement.

Classic way of making the S Stock seem an improvement. Shades of the run-up to August 1968 and all that.........

Further to that; degrade something you don't want till nobody cares about it anymore, then destroy. If the depot staff aren't allowed to even do some remedial paintwork then perhaps someones hoping they might take less pride in them?

If you think that one's bad you should see the state of the 62TS units lying around Ruislip(ex pilot units?)they're practically black!!!

Guys
I hate quoting rules (forum guidelines), however be aware:
I'm not raising this to be officious, just to highlight what has already happened... a proposed unusual move has been postponed/changed.
Ultimately we don't want anyone's time wasted by hanging around or for issues to occur should members of the public lurk around at stations (could cause suspicion).
Regards

Saw it moving yesterday on the line right in front of the depot, was running along a line in front of Neasden Depot(sorry don't know the technical term for that piece of track) I was on a Met train from Rayners Lane to KX, and it was very close to the left side on my train. First time I ever saw a 62 in the flesh so to speak, and it looked awful LOL
