judging by the cyrillic script on top of the building on the right bank on picture 4 i'll take a stab at it being the Moscow river. The building on the right obscuring Red Square etc.
Picture 1 looks like the Grand Union Canal as you head out past Uxbridge way.
I'll guess at somewhere on the Met for the main picture.

We had inset 3 back on February 11th - I had an enlightening discussion with Dimitri about it It's the HQ of the Petrocommerce Bank in Moscow. In Dimitri's words, "BTW, to the left of it is the UK Embassy in Russian Federation. A book-like building near the centre is the former Comecon HQ (now occupied by Moscow city administration). Finally, to the left of the shot is the House of the Government of the Russian Federation, colloquially known as White House."
