Hey guys, newbie here. Thought I'd make my first post here a question. The other night I boarded a carriage that looked like no other. The lighting was different and looked more like natural daylight. The layout of the hand-rails were different and the glass panels at the end of each row of seats rattled. I took some pictures and got the carriage number. Excuse the poor image quality. Only had a 2MP camera phone to hand. I can't remember if there were trial 'phases' in the early days of the refurb, but I'm guessing this is one of them? Are there any other carriages like this knocking about, and if so, how many? It is the first I have seen and I have been using the District line daily for a couple of years. Luke

Only the middle car (of the three car set) is like that. It has been tweeked slightly I notice to be more like the other cars though.

17008 has 14 Philips Master TL-D36W/865 tubes per side (28 in total) whereas all other D Stock trailers have 11 Philips Master TL-D58W/840 tubes per side (=24).
