On Friday, due to engineering works taking place at the weekend, the last train from Upminster to Richmond (T110) was cancelled. A train was run with a different number, but the exact same timings to Ealing Broadway... customers were expected to take this train and change at Turnham Green for a bus which connects with it to continue to Richmond.
However, LUL didn't actually TELL anyone this ! In this day of live, real time information, there was nothing on the website telling passengers the last service to Richmond was cancelled. There was no notices at stations, and station staff at many locations were not making announcements for passengers to board the alternative Ealing service and change for the bus. They probably were unaware what was going on as nobody (staff) was made aware properly of the situation, except those studying the TTN with a fine tooth-comb!
Classic... valuing time !

I haven't got the TTN in front of me, but what happened with the first Richmond departure (T6) this morning?

It would have come from Ealing Common depot, as they'd be +1 on the stock balance.

I think the 'replacement' T110 was stabled at Ealing Broadway so T6 must have started from there this morning.

I see the "advice to passengers" was to ask them to use the 05.48 departure instead, very helpful!

It's just plain 65, but 24hr service. Departures from Richmond being at 05.26 or 05.41, thus not really a useful alternative. I would've expected a proper rail replacement bus/taxi in the path of T6, as there was for the Friday night T110- just that nobody knew it ran!

I imagine the reason there is no RRBS on a Monday morning is that it is quicker to catch the 2nd train of the day ex RMD (the 5.48) than run a RBBS at 5.32 and connect into a train at TG.
This is always the case when RMD receives no District train service at the weekend (at least in recent years anyhow)
