As featured in Railway Modeller of course, but don't ask me when! Does anyone know if the layout is still on the exhibition circuit?

Very impressive! I was particularly struck by how well the LT Modernist architecture (both Tube and bus garage) transferred to scale. Some views would be hard to distinguish from full-scale:truly the aim of any serious modeller. Well done, those chaps!

It was May 2006 Sean. It is a nice railway, but I'm hoping mine will be better, and also in RM! It no longer exhibits. It was sold to a private owner. As an aside, my new ex district K2 bogies came back from the manufacturer today and they look great. Photos to follow.

The layout in the video is 'Scrubbs Lane' which featured in the May 2006 issue of 'Railway Modeller'. It was built by the late Ron Curling and described in the 'Modeller' by Dick Starling. It was exhibited by Mr Curling with the aid of the members of the Great Yarmouth Model Railway Club. The film of it was part of the free PC-ROM that came with the Christmas 2006 'Modeller'.
It is an inspirational layout for any of us contemplating modelling part of London Transport. It also shows just how good the old Harrow Model Shop range of whitemetal kits were for thier time. The range, as most of you will know, has been taken over and updated by Phil Radley of Radley Models.
I believe that the old K's Beyer Peacock 'MET' tank kit is also still available from IKB models.
