Hey all Just wondering At Shepherd’s Bush, on the eastern side of Holland Park Round-a-bout there is a tall shaft. I assume it’s a ventilation shaft for the central line. It would be above the eastern end of the platforms below, where it is really narrow. Lately, it seems to be making noise, like the fans inside have been turned on recently. Does anyone know if: a) it is a vent shaft b) if it has been re-commissioned lately c) does anyone know anything else about it The shaft is hidden behind the tress in this photo - kinda hexagonal shape. www.seety.co.uk/?lat=51.50505&lon=-0.21646&u=0.621&v=0.517

Welcome to the forum!
I'm not sure if that is connected to the Central line - I think it may be related to the Thames Water London Ring Main?

The one on the roundabout is to do with the Thames Water Ring Main. ..and the one next to the roundabout, on the corner of Norland Road, is a fan shaft for the Central Line tunnels.

Is it a vent shaft that you can see level with the eastbound platform that looks like at one time it might have been a third platform (even though we know it's not)?
