Bizarrely the auto-announce station PA describes Southern trains as "Connex" services!

Wow, that's quite ancient for a brand new station!

Why is the service frequency so bad, the timetable hasnt changed since Silverlink. We was promised better services from the start on the Overground, but why hasn't it been delivered.

The services have actually got WORSE on some lines. I arrived in the PM PEAK at Acton Central the other day to get a train, I just missed one and had a TWENTY minute wait for the next... in Silverlink days it would have been 15 max! Down from 4tph to 3thp... PROGRESS!! TfL style...

Hold your horses guys, why do you think there is all this weekend engineering work?! There is a lot of work to be done to upgrade the line, but the enhanced frequencies are coming...

Why is the service frequency so bad, the timetable hasnt changed since Silverlink. We was promised better services from the start on the Overground, but why hasn't it been delivered. For a while, we did get a 2-per-hour service on the WLL on Sundays shortly after LO took over (prior to that, there was a strange gap during the middle of the day where there was only 1 per hour). Then, of course, we got the inevitable weekend disruptions which reduced the Sunday WLL service to 1 per hour - for no obvious reason (even though they can't reach Willesden Junction, I see no reason at all to reduce the service to 1 per hour).

Yes but - as with all this "improvement work" everywhere - it's starting to look as if it will never actually end. No sooner does one long-term period of disruption finish and yet another is announced. What's the use of all this work if we never actualy get to enjoy the fruits of it for very long before yet more closures get underway?

Jakehn54 Did you really think you was going to get a better service overnight? Without the major improvements that is required how do you think the service will get any better without line clousures and reduced services on Sunday. Actually ithink 6 trains an hour Stratford to Willesden Junction during the busiest times is far better then the previous 4 or am i missing something?
Happybunny or so unhappybunny if you was a regular traveller on the route you will know why this line is reduced otherwise you would know the answer to your statement. The reason why services are like they are during the peak periods is because of NLRIP, which since February has reduced the whole line to a two line railway and as you know this is only a temporary measure. In complete reverse the services to Clapham Junction have increased to a 3 train per hour previously 2, the only way you get a 10 minute headway on the buseist section is by running 3 per hour service to Richmond and the same to Clapham Junction otherwise it wouldnt work. I would also like to add that LOROL is still National Railway company and could not possibly run services like they do on the underground. I actually think that we are also digressing from the original thread and if someone wishes to create a new one about LOROLs poor service levels i would gladly comment further

Look at this comment:
This London Overground network has really been one of Boris's success stories this year. New air conditioned trains, refurbished stations, much improved service and now this new connection to Chelsea Harbour goes to show Boris is serious about creating an outer surburban network. Unlike the previous mayor who let Silverlink run this line into the ground whilst crime soared and did nothing, Boris listens to what Londoners want and acts upon it quickly and without the endless PR machine spinning that Ken was so fond of.
- Sarah, London
How stupid are the general public, does Sarah from London really think BoJo did all this , does she think the changes and building of a new station and new trains happen so quickly?? I mean, words fail me !!

At least the subsequent comments spelt it out correctly to her. She'll go back to being a non-entity with her tail between her legs.
