I agree B is Custom House, with the inset being the Weymouth Tramway.

I'm after thinking the link is something to do with the compass points and zones, but I can't quite put my finger on it...

Everywhere has been worked out, but not the link. The insets are also linked to the topic. Answers: (All pictures by Chris M) Station A: St John's Wood - ticket hall ceiling Station B: Custom House - North London Line platforms in May 2009 Inset: Weymouth Quay tramway - looking east along Custom House Quay Station C: St. James's Park - Cupola above stairs to platforms Station D: Southfields - exterior roundel Inset: Wembley Stadium station from a southbound Chiltern service *Click on any of the images for a larger version*

Is it to do with locations for events at the 2012 Olympics? St John's Wood = Lord's = archery; Southfields = All England Club = tennis; Weymouth = sailing; St James's Park = Horse Guards Parade = beach volleyball (!); Custom House = ExCeL = lots of stuff.

You missed Wembley off the list, but otherwise you are spot on.
