Coming home on a local Uxbridge serivce, the train ended up on platform 1 at Wembley Park. There were many hurried PAs and it appeared the crew changeover had to be moved. The Uxbridge train then became a Watford S/F! Anyone know what happened? Strangly the destination board showed on plat 1 1.Uxbridge (all stations)......................... 2.Amersham (fast).........................1 min

In the first instance I will state that I wasn't on duty ;D
The reasons could be many, but a few likely candidates are (in no particular order):
Late notice reformation (due to crew availability). Extended interval on the Watford road spotted at short notice. The train was always a Watford, but was numbered incorrectly either due to a fault with the computer, or some other cause.
Least likely (though, very rarely, it can happen) the driver accepted a wrong signal. This is most unlikely to be the case, as wherever the train was going, the platform at Wembley Park will only affect whether it calls at Preston Road and Northwick Park. It would not force a destination change.
Apologies on behalf of the Met Line. I would hope that (unless you wanted Preston Road/Northwick Park) you were advised to stay on the train, with a cross-platform interchange at Harrow onto the service you required. Nothing worse than such a late-notice thing happening, than to drag everyone over to another platform.

I didn't mind, we were gonig to Harrow for a couple of drinks after a meal in town, but it was closing time so I stayed on the train and it took me home!
The service was running ok from the looks of it. There was a Watford 5min behind and an Amersham 1-2min behind. There was a train at Harrow with calling on light lit, this train went to Uxbridge!
