Can anyone help with any info on the model railway which was used for training. There were 2 signal frames were these purpose built for the training centre? and what type of frame? I'm told there was a push button console was this purpose built or was it used from somewhere? any other info greatly received.

JJ I only visited the room with the model railway in it once while I was working on the building fire alarms almost 30 years ago. However, I recall my chargehand at that time having to go in and upgrade the comms for the layout. Apparently the signals and comms were installed and maintained just as if they were the real thing so there is a chance that someone with access to old drawing office records may be able to answer your questions.

It must have been quite odd for someone to be called for a job only to find that it was 20 times smaller than what they envisaged!
