The track maybe in the Putney area. The station looks familiar...... Is the C stock train at Monument?

I think the track is Northern Line, somewhere in the Burnt Oak/ Colindale area.

The track maybe in the Putney area. I tend to agree - that's the Empress State Building (next to Lillie Bridge Depot) in the background so I'm guessing we're looking northish on a sunny morning afternoon from, say, East Putney.

Zooming in on the C stock image, I see relatively ornate front edges to the platform canopies, which makes it look like a night shot at a station I can't figure out...

Looks like a few pictures have you stumped, so here are the answers with some clues for the remainder. Main location: Inset 1: District Line between East Putney and Putney Bridge - bridge over Disraeli Road. [Chris M] Inset 2: Inset 3: *Click any image for a larger version*

*scratches head* Oxford, with Magdalen Tower in the background? No, but it's sort of heading the right way. The place concerned most certainly has a Uni, and isn't a million miles from Oxford, but not exactly close either.......

It is Bristol, looking south along Narrow Quay (the St Augustine's Reach arm of the Floating Harbour is to the right). The tower in the background is not St Mary Redcliffe (that has a spire) but that of St Paul's Coronation Road in the Southville area of Bedminster. There are two stretches of water between the camera and the church - the floating harbour and the New Cut of the River Avon with the Industrial Musuem (the brightly-lit building) on Spike Island, the narrow bit of land between the two.
Just the station to identify now.

Right, must be an outlying station: I'll try Totteridge and Whetstone?
