OK, maybe (or maybe not) a bit off-topic, but whilst taking a look at the ELLX works in the Haggerston area, I came across what appears to be a former-LT building at 258 Kingsland Road. www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3394527741/in/photostream/The giveaway was the standard pavement boundary plate as used at bus garages and outside Underground stations. www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/3395332038/I don't believe this was a bus or trolleybus crew relief point, which would seem to rule it out as a canteen. One thought is that is was used by one of the 'common user' departments - e.g. Works & Building. Any ideas? Having said that the arched windows at the rear are reminiscent of LCCT architecture. There was a horse tram depot on the other side of the road not far away so it's not impossible that the premises were transferred from one LT dept. to another.
