Hi guys, I am a BVE4 developer as some of you may know, and am thinking of creating the District line between Earls Court and West Ham, or maybe even West Ham to Upminster, as I have now got the DEV DVD from the Tfl Shop in Covent Garden. However, there is no D stock train compatible with BVE4, so I want to make one, with the help of another more experienced author. I know there are a few District drivers around on here, so if any could take some pictures of the cab (refurb or unrefurb) which could be turned into a working BVE4 cab and let me use them, I would be very, very grateful. So that you don’t waste your time by taking pictures that are no suitable, I’ll give a little guidance on angles that pics need to be taken at in order for them to be used. For example, this is a cab in BVE4, of the LT1995 stock (from UKTrainSim's tutorial ): img274.imageshack.us/img274/1557/95stockll5.jpgPictures taken head on like the above would be ideal for a cab, but pictures like this: img128.imageshack.us/img128/2447/dstockcabxw6.jpg are not useful at all. Thank you for your help, ;D

Yes, are you suggesting using Dr Jimi's cab? That is a good idea, but we'd prefer a photo-real cab. We will ask permission from Jimi to use his cab if we can't get hold of any photos. Cheers,

There's quite a few 'in cab' images on my website - I know you said those type are not required, but if you should wish to use any I can make the originals available.
As for the images you specifically require, my shift pattern at the moment has me driving mainly in the dark - so I doubt i'll be able to help........

Thanks Colin for your pics, but as you say they are not really suitable. Thank for the offer though.

Without wishing to dash your hopes, the above picture was in fact made up of about 6 or 7 pictures which were merged into one, i only know that coz i provided them! To get a decen cab shot you are best off to have more than one picture to play with, and then merge them together.

....and I assume you've got our own Solidbond's DEVs as well. Far better than anything commercially produced, and his do BOTH directions of ALL branches (except Edgware Road). Essential extra for any BVE developer.
End of shameless plug!

I know that a the 95 cab was made from lots of different shots, as many cabs are. My cabs I've made a made from 4 or 5 shots, just merged together, as it's virtually impossible to get one single shot of all the cab! Cheers,

You can PM Solidbond himself and see if he still has a few copies floating around that he could send you I think we paid about 15 quid for them ( 2 discs, for the whole of the District, except Earl's Ct - Edgware Road ) - well worth it
