Now we have trackernet about showing the locations of trains on bits of the District .... (for those who don't know - It is basically a line diagram showing the location of trains and signal aspects - in the case of the District it isn't fully functional yet, ie some sections are not yet covered) .... each train is represented on the diagram by a coloured line and an outline coloured box with the destination code for that train shown. My question is ..."Does anyone know what colours are assigned to all of the possible destination code variations ? ? ?" From memory ... the one's I've noticed are : Ealing Broadway - Dark Green Richmond - Dark Blue Wimbledon - Light Blue Ealing Common - Yellow Circle - White Upminster - Dark Green Tower Hill - Yellow I think Circles and H&C trains both showed as white, however an unknown just shown as " " was also white. Another District unknown seems to just show "DIS" in Dark Green. Can anyone correct me and add the rest Now some days I noticed the system seemed to know the destinations of most trains as soon as they arrived at Upminster yet on other days it doesn't seem to know any of them ? Any offers on why this may be

A full list can be obtained from Trackernet itself by selecting Train Legends from the Options Menu Despite being staff - I don't have any access to Trackernet or indeed the intranet ... Upminster is a technology desert for your average joe driver ! There is merely a flat screen monitor behind a glass panel showing me the section Dagenham East to Upminster ! So a posting of the list would be much appreciated, purely for curiosity value !

Is Trackernet a web based (intranet) system? Yes. Thanks for posting those ZEDex. Looks like green is the preferred colour for end to end workings on all the lines, not just the district ! Wonder why the Met uses orange so much. I thought Red may have been reserved for some other purpose ... but it seems to be used just once for Moorgate ...odd that ! The H&C legends seem to have some odd notations ..with both Hammersmith and Plaistow being described as Northbound, I assume in error ! As I said before Circle Line trains seem to be displayed in white with "CIR" as the code, but not listed in the key. Thanks again for that list ...good stuff.

Where another line's train is shown, it usually appears in grey with the number (if it is available). Orange on the Met is used mainly for short tripping and the stablers to show that they arent going "all the way" Train numbers are only available if it is taken from a signalling computer, so on the district numbers may be seen, but not correct. for instance on the Met, Chiltern Railways keep appearing as Chesham trains! And trains vanish from the system or don't move (which happened on the district recently after a big shutdown) Some places are still "black holes" where neither the signalman or tracker can see the area. It's a good system, but sometimes a little more trouble than it's worth.... like you pesky drivers playing cards till its in the platform because you think its unning late!
