At last Ruislip has finally taken delivery of our super-dooper new 92 TS simulator. This one has been a long time coming, as the upgrade to our rather awful original one that relied on giant gold Laser discs, which featured 62 stock and floating signals. This one at Ruislip is still in the testing and delivery stage where as the Hainault one is in full operation, but yours truely got to play with it, as both driver and instructor. I have to say that the graffics are spot on, but the lack of movement through me off. All defects can be simulated without lifting a real seat, as well as complicated proceedure's such as a push out can be done. The other down side is the "Connect" radio simulation doesn't work, so you find yourself going back to the legacy radio system. Here are a couple of shots. www.flickr.com/photos/routemaster/

Looks good to me!
I don't know whether the Northern Line have still got their two at Edgware, but when I went there (c.1998/99) one had a static driving seat but the other had one which 'moved' with the train, which added a bit to the realism.

What are you referring to in your most recent post? I'm confused!

Ceiling cat is a cat who watches people... simulate. Or something like that.
Very impressive, I must say - though query the distance between cab and screen? Is it so drivers/trainees can "interact" with the front of the train?
