Gosh, been busy doing other things and just got to the quiz. I knew straight off it was Aldgate East as soon as the hook came into view. AFAIK it's the only station on the system with skyhooks. When Aldgate East station was shifted to it's present position the platforms were built lower than the existing track level to avoid obstacles and services above. The skyhooks werepart of the solution to lowering the track to the new level on IIRC a weekend changeover according to the book by H.G.Follenfant. Murphy's Law I guess but every time bar one that I knew the answer without thinking I didn't get to the quiz until the afternoon!
