I am writing a new series of articles for Underground News called "District Electric Trains". It is a detailed history of the development of the electric trains of the District, their design and equipment and the train services they operated. I believe the first article will be published in the March issue due out soon. Now that UN is printed with glossy pages, I have been able to get in some photos and drawings to go with the articles.

Having read the first instalment, it is, as one would expect, superb, I couldn't put it down until I'd read the whole chapter ! ;D ;D As for the inclusion of that picture of "Triangle Sidings" lined with an embankment, grass and trees, well ...speechless ! Looking forward to more

Just to update readers, the latest article (No 3) of District Electric Trains is published in Underground News for May and I have put in some drawings of the original "A Stock" of 1903, with dimensions in case there's anyone amongst the modellers in the forum who would like to have a go .
