Given that there are 67 D stocks in service in the peaks and the total fleet is 75, are we just too tight with only 8 spares? Absolutely not , this is still highly luxurious and whoever is running the District line fleet at the moment should be ashamed that they cannot do better. There are lot of fleets around the world that run with less than 10% spares. When you´re talking about motors being reported , it is one thing if they´re not in during the whole trip , the Callpoint guy can see this on his box, theres no excuse unless they´ve got so many trains awaiting motor change that they´re deliberately running some with the motors cut out - you could check your CON: COS Lots of dropping out over gaps is a different issue altogether , this can be really difficult as the cause is related to the sensitivity of the VAR to a voltage drop/ spike, which could be a fault on the train, or it could be a power supply issue. If there are lots and they´re all in the same sections at the same time of day , it could be a power supply voltage drop issue.

This has been more prevalent since refurb, I think it's something to do with the increased weight.
