Hi, I saw this today on the Number 9 bus at High Street Ken. It was stuck on the luggage storage area opposite the first set of seats. Presumably somebody is having a little joke and has got themsleves a label printing machine and downloaded the TfL font set?! james672.fotopic.net/p56434557.htmlJames

Yes, it's a new TfL policy introduced by Boris to bring humour to Londoners through the creation of awkward social situations. Apparently the TfL lawyers were stringently opposed to it, fearing claims from distressed bus riders who'd been sat on, but Boris waved these concerns away as "piffle and triffle".

There was a couple of similar ones at Tottenham Court Road, which proclaimed 'No Talking' with a penalty of £200 for those whom flouted said 'regulation'.

Ha ha, I saw a Vic Line diagram that had been modified, there was a station between Stockwell and Brixton called 'Brown Punk'!

One of the best ones I saw was on an Alphaline timetable a few years ago that had Worcester Shrub Hill as Scrub Hill. Was too late to recall the issue and the whole lot were sent out ;D

A bit like the spurious road signs that appeared over Liverpool city centre as past of the Biennial:

rincew1nd - if you are on Facebook, that photo would fit perfectly in the group "Signs that fascinate and intrigue" should you wish to share it there.

I've spent many an hour looking through to photos on there, 'tis an excellent group! I saw one of the 'sitting on lap' stickers on a D stock on my way to work quite recently too.

On the M4 approaching London, around the M25 area, I forget exactly but the sign read, "Heathrow, low emission zone". I had to laugh and I was driving too fast to take a photo.
