A hybrid set of a refurb and a non refurb was OOS Westbound about 1740 at Blackfriars - presume enroute to Ealing - caused a bit of a gap and a very busy following train. Refurb on west - non refurb trailing.
First mixed set I have seen - obviously didnt feel well.

Not sure why it was OOS, but it certainly wouldn't have been a refurb coupled to a non-refurb or it most certainly wouldn't have been feeling well! ;D The gap in service probably wasn't helped by me... I wasn't far in front of him (going by the time you give above) also running empty - mine was due to a floor panel being raised a few inches, therefore creating a trip hazard. Fitter sorted it at Earl's Court for me.

I saw train 51 during the course of my duty, and can definitely confirm it was the pre refurb unit 7008-17008-8008.
