I have a somewhat odd question. Hopefully this is the correct forum for it. If not please move it to a more appropriate location. My grandmother will be visiting London in the spring. She's fairly mobile for her age, but afraid to use escalators so I'll have to avoid those when taking her around the city. Lifts and (a moderate amount of) stairs aren't a problem. So I'm trying to figure out what stations and what lines can be reached without using any escalators. The only thing I've been able to find is the Vertical Transport page on "Clive's UndergrounD Line Guides". All platforms on any station which isn't in the Escalators list there must be accessible. And those in the Lifts list must at least have some which are reachable. But from the information on that page I'd never be able to figure out that, for example, the circle and district line platforms at Paddington are accessible using only stairs even though the station does have escalators. Is more accurate information of this kind available anywhere?

Well, if you know where you want to go, use the Journey Planner at tfl.gov.uk and simply tick the "I Cannot Use Escalators" box under My Mobility Requirements (near the bottom of the page once you're on the advanced options).

That was quick! This should definitely allow me to figure out everything I need. Thank you very much to both of you.
