Local BBC Radio Solent advised at 05.45 that the Bakerloo was suspended, Wimblewares suspended, Olympias suspended.. I did 21 miles to Salisbury and back in the car and it was 'orrible on the A36 at times. Lunatics were doing over 70 on snow-covered roads! However the Salisbury-Romsey SWT DMU service seems to have started (it's 2 2-cars that stop all stations Redbridge-Eastleigh to provide the local service).

Yep points failure at croxley south junc, quite early, seen one in service, another stuck at moor park, and one empty running into watford, maybe de icing. about 3 or 4 inches here in sunny ricki.

1973 snow on the Met saw ESLs stuck on the fast lines at Northwick Park; the Chesham shuttle took about 2 hours to get out of Chalfont..nothing changes.
But, 2 Xmases ago, on a train journey round Switzerland, a total whiteout over the top of the Alps, snow 2m dep, and the train arrived at its destination 5 minutes late! Shock!

i have to get to neasden, otherwise the drivers wont have a morning service, less than half the staff on site. i asked my SA at croxley about the service, my next south bound train is northbound at preston road   ;D ;D |
