Hi All, Just to let you all know that Richard Scott and I have been working on getting the Standard Stock into RailSimulator with mixed results. Here's a quick video of progress and some experimentation with shoe arcs. Unfortunately there is no controller for these yet so they flash even when the train is stationary which is utter pants. The trailing DM has arcing on the fourth rail shoe aswell. Darren. vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=50528977

I'm just in the process of updating the sounds now. I've been reading Mr Agnews book on Electric Trains which describes in detail, with diagrams the funtionality of the controls of the Standard Stock. Being an electrician, with this information (and from others on this forum) I will hopefully be able to recreate the relays banging in and out at the correct times in relation to the controls and speed of the unit giving a virtual realistic simulation. The fact that the control compartment was situated just behind the driver, I'm sure he must have been able to here what was going on inside. Initial test have been quite pleasing.

They look awesome! My only critiscism is, I don't think the doors look quite right. That aside, a great looking train, can't wait for it's release!

I'm glad you said that MM because Richard just sent me more texture files as he forgot to put the reflective maps on the doors of the trailers and the front and the doors of the control trailers so the finished product will be better. Darren.
