I thought people would find this interesting. A new linear park is being created in Camden, using former sections of the North London Line. They are proposing to run between Camden Gardens and York Way, utilising the various railway bridges alongside the line. Their section just next to Camden Road station has just been given planning permission, from Camden Gardens to Royal College Street. www.camdenhighline.com/planning-press-releaseI guess this may be somewhat similar to Parkland Walk or the High Line in New York.

Conflicting sources show the bends on the Piccadilly Line between Knightsbridge and South Kensington are due to either the tube line following the road layout above, or have be due to connecting up with a historical project to create an express tube that was abandoned and then reused by the now Piccadilly line but which is true? Or both?

This is the temperature forecast for tomorrow. Would trains be running normally or what do you think the predicted effects will be on either LU or NR?

Why do hardly any videos mention that the Nov 6th opening meant trains were now running on Sundays for the first time? Jago has it but in Geoff's video there is only a couple of sentences

Thought I would ask a trivial question. Which tunnel portal has the steepest gradient, or what are tge gradients?
It is my understanding the portals are located at Plumstead, North Woolwich, Custom House, Pudding Mill Lane, Royal Oak and I suppose I should include the Silvertown and Royal Albert ones.

In many countries of the world, there are rail links and generally good transport links that link all terminals. I have always wondered why Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 are directly connected to Central by rail but no to each other. You either have to take a train to Heathrow Central (Terminals 123) and then change for the other Terminal, or take a bus.
So the question is, why is there not a more direct link between the terminals?

I know this not the most reliable source but www.mylondon.news/news/london-underground-live-updates-5-25402634The above mentions that the Piccadilly Line was suspended between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to poor weather conditions but makes no mention of the Metropolitan Line. Do each different stock cope differently in those conditions? And I also wonder what the poor weather conditions were. This concerns both the Piccadilly and Metropolitan which is why I posted here.

Not sure how to number it so i will just say the entrance looks like Barking and the concrete structure looks similar to south of Canning Town. And Right hand inset is a funicular in Scarborough

"...and is not in passenger service"
I found this message rather amusing when the previous night I was trying to look at journeys on National Rail Enquiries and it tried to send me on this service, either via Whitechapel or Farringdon. Obviously I could not get these trains but I'm not sure I'd want to try either. Guess it must be for future?

Whilst looking at the original cab ride videos of the Elizabeth Line, I thought that the shortest distance between stations would be between Farringdon and Liverpool Street. However, having been on the trains recently is making me think more it was Paddington to Bond Street or Bond Street to Tottenham Court Road. I haven't been east of Liverpool Street yet so I was wondering which is the shortest distance between any station.
Also is it on the core section and if not, what is the shortest between the core stations?

I just read in the latest RAIL (959) that London Overground are poised to take over responsibility for Meridian Water, Northumberland Park and Lea Bridge stations. This leads to the obvious conclusion that they will take over the train service in the near future.
In fact, just below that, it mentions constructing bidirectional working on one platform and an extra platform on the eastern end of Ponders End and for these to be possibly done by 2024, at a cost of £9.3 million.
