Something that I’ve not seen mentioned here yet (surprisingly!) is that fact that these new announcements only feature on the B07 units, and not on the B90s/B2ks/B92s. And i must agree with one point that has already been raised here - the gap at every DLR station is neglegable, and personally I feel that the announcements are going down the route of “verbal diarrhoea” as they are too unnecessary...

The departure boards are back today! Strangely enough the trains seem to be entering the stations at the lower speed though - I wonder if it's related (it was in the tunnel section, so can't be the weather). Funny it may sound, but I was in London on Saturday (28th April) and I can only agree that the ATO seemed a bit more ropey on the Jubilee Line than normal. By ropey, I mean: slower rate of acceleration away from stations slower “max” allowable speed lower brake rate less “negative feedbacking” more inconsistencies (ie: harsh braking, back up to speed again, harsh braking, back up to speed again in a succession that would have been to quick to be the VOBC and ATO systems regulating the traffic, but too significant to be unintentional too). It’s worth noting that this happened for the whole duration that I was on a couple of different train for, in different directions and above/below ground sections...

Slight dip in the National Grid’s Hampster population. All seems to have been rectified now thankfully!

I seem to remember reading that 890 is one of the vehicles to have been refreshed internally so far, along with 215 and 856. Hope this is of assistance...

I think personally that this has been a shambolic waste of money from TfL. But I feel it would be better to have changed the whole lot, rather than hastily try and stitch two variants together like this! Please don’t shoot me down for this, but personal opinion is the rule of thumb here.

Hi All, I was in London on Friday (28/10/2017), and decided to go and check out a section of the Jubilee Line between Baker Street and St Johns Wood. And I must say that the amount of noise produced on the run through this section is absolutely ear splitting. (I overheard a number of passengers discussing the terrible racket once it died away).
Was wondering if there is a known cause of this, as it has been going on for some months. It is notable in the Northbound Direction (and the speed seemed somewhat constrained too), but it is crippling on the Southbound - and it ensues for much longer right into the platform. I must add, in the Northbound direction, the noise can be heard from the platform for well over a mile as the train exits the station towards St Johns Wood.
Made a number of journeys on different trains as I became increasingly perplexed by this, and all of the trains seemed to do it. After all, there are no significant bends or curves to cause it either.
I was just after hearing other people's views on this one - in terms of knowledge in the engineering field here?
Many Thanks - my apologies for an extensive read! Matt

Evening all, May I raise the point of the Piccadilly Line reliabilityof late? It seems to have taken a tumble. As I'm sure many of you have noticed, there seems to have been significant, and persistent signalling issues in the Acton Town area, that have become increasingly service disrupting over the week - as well as an ongoing lack of Train Operators for late night and Night Tube services? What are your thoughts/or information on this please? Many thanks for taking the time to read, Matt.
