Twitter reports are that it's due to construction going on at Westfield and that some concrete fell between Shepherd's Bush & White City

C isn't Green Park, but it is somewhere with an escalator undergoing repair, refurbishment or replacement (I don't know which). You are correct that D isn't Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square, but it's also not Covent Garden. Hmm, my initial thought was that C was somewhere on the JLE so I'll take a punt at..Canada Water?

The beloved "Charing +" is gone Yay! The London City Pier announcement sounds a bit jarring but thankfully I don't pass through London Bridge that often

Yes, I don't know if they sound 'newer' but they definitely sound different. Would take some getting used to, sounds a bit wordy to me compared to the normal. Finally got round to uploading what I recorded, unfortunately the beginning of the announcement is cut off but you get the idea.

I boarded an Edgware bound train yesterday which on the approach to Euston (City) was changed to a Finchley Central terminator due to late running caused by earlier disruption. I thought it odd that it was swapping branches rather than just being turned at Golders but when I swapped to the train behind we got held at Belsize Park owing to congestion so I guess the aim was to get a train out of the way as much as it was making up time (or is there an operational reason why Finchley Central is better for turning short)?

Boarded a train at Hampstead this afternoon which was announcing 'This is a Northern line train terminating at Edgware', first time I've heard such an announcement! Also added on 'where this train terminates' after the usual 'The next station is Edgware'.
Car was 53671 and managed to get a recording of the former announcement (sadly without the display!)

and No mention of Bakerloo closure at Paddington on station closures pdf Yes, does anyone have anymore details on this closure (dates, nature of the work)? First time I've read anything about it!

My favourites are the computerised signs where the "Stand on the right" signs would normally be, that can change between saying "Stand on the right", "Hold the handrail", "You are reaching the end of the escalator, keep moving as you alight" etc. Noticed these at Shepherds Bush and at one part of Euston.

Does this trial apply to all the escalators at Holborn, or just the main up escalator leading to the street? I could understand the latter as it allows people to leave quickly, however the problem at Holborn has never been the escalators, but the torturous nature of the low-level passageways and conflicts between various flows of passengers in the circulating areas. The last thing needed is a greater flow of people being deposited at the bottom of the Piccadilly Line escalators, where already the slightest problem results in people blocking back onto the escalators and a diamond being pressed. This week the trial has been on one up escalator (from the lower concourse to the ticket hall), next week they're going to try it on two (we'll see how that goes..) And I always leave a step in front of me when standing on the escalator, as I carry my bag in front of me and don't want it nudging into the person in front

Northern Line not helped by having a late finish to engineering work either!
As I travelled back to Edgware this afternoon, all Bank branch trains were for Edgware and all CX branch trains were for High Barnet - can this be pretty common if they're trying to recover the service?
