Hi All, I bought a DVD on eBay recently and at the end, there was some (presumably copied) footage from the driver's cab of the Northern Line. It wasn't in the style of Driver's Eye - certainly more technical - things like giving starting signal numbers and saying that signal x out of Camden Town can be slow to clear, etc. Each station had the station name put across the screen - it was almost like a training video. Does anyone know what this was and how I could get hold of the whole thing? Thanks

It sounds like the route learning DVD - which shouldn't really be enereing the public domain.

Could this be the second controversial video mentioned in one evening? What a random situation though. What was the rest of the DVD of out of interest?

That's certainly a route-learning DVD. The 'big' railway employ the same technique.
They usually make drivers watch these videos numerous times so they can relate things in the sectional appendix to the real life view.
Don't know how it works on LU however.

I bought a 'Northern Line Centenary' DVD off eBay but got it refunded as it was a copy not the original. The back end of it had about 15 mins of the Driver's Eye type thingy spliced onto it - wondered if I could get a copy if it was in the public domain, but obviously not! It was a bit random really, but very interesting!
