Does anyone know if they're tearing off those horrible retro panels off the platforms wall?

Nothing on the SM [service manager] or NOC page, so tfc should be one one person who should be able to find out.

No one seems to know why it was cancelled. It went ahead this weekend just gone. Apparently the work (whatever it is) is being done to the cross-passages, because I was looking on CCTV and queried the fact that I couldn't see anything whatsoever on the platforms. That's all I know. I do know someone who works at Euston though, so the next time I speak to her I shall enquire.

I heard from a reliable source that the Project Manager for the works had simply forgotten that the closure was due to start the week before last! When they were reminded of the fact that they had a closure, it was too late for any significant work to be organised - so at the eleventh hour and 59th minute it got pulled.

That sounds possible, yes.

Funny I was told my one of my non-rabid DSM that said work was cancelled due to the Circle line (& HC) closure that weekend.
However FC's answer sounds much better and far more likely
