IIRC, the T/Op can reset the PTI [which changes the destination display] at Totteridge on the n/b.

I've just noticed something really fishy about those pics. Look at the middle pic on the bottom. In the top right corner, there *appears* to be another track. That would, if the photo shows the front end, mean the train is on the wrong track. It must be the tail end of the trains. Unless my eyes are going funny, would anyone else care to correct or support this theory?

Has anyone from this forum been up that way and tried to replciate the photos so we can work out where the trains mucst have been (e.g. heading the other way, stopped at a signal, etc)?

As long as you've got a copy of the article with you you'll be all right.
"what are you doing?" "investigative journalism, officer" "oh.. alright.."

I have been looking at that picture and cant figure out which lights are on ... i.e. headlights or tail lights ... And there's probably a very good reason for that. I might just journey up there on Wednesday. I'll take my hi-vi for that 'just in case' scenario...

I don't see what the problem with tea drinking is.
Railway would stop without it...

How very appropriate that the Standard's transport correspondent is named Dick.

Perhaps the driver that 'leaned down' thaught he was about to get 'stoned'?
I know drivers have done this when I have been on footbridges taking photos, always seemed obvious to me why they did that....
The 'book', could have been the WTT?
