A - Nags head Lane Sewage works between Harold Wood & Brentwood. D - Debden.

C is the line between Sydenham Junction and Penge West seen from a train heading towards Crystal Palace.

Link must be 'wood'. Penge means the edge of the wood, and bois is French for wood. The others have wood in the English form.
As to odd one out? Maybe A because it's between two "wood"s.

Stuartroy's considered link is perfectly reasonable. Whilst it is evidently not what is written on the card, there comes a point where there is no shame in not being a mind reader or telepath. This situation arises occasionally and it does seem that giving the author of a valid answer [even if not the one on the card] is worth at least half a point.

These are all "between" locations though, how do Debden and Sydenham match the wood idea?
We will give credit for finding a correct link, even if it's not what we are looking for - but in this case I don't think it's quite there yet.

Is it where the line crosses council areas? A from Havering to Brentwood, B from Three Rivers to Buckinghamshire, C from Lewisham to Bromley. D is odd one out as both stations are in Epping Forest.
