I was going to suggest B as Park Royal, and I agree that D is Mile End. So I am going to suggest that B is West Acton and the link is the Central line.

I think B may be Eastcote, and the inset Lake on the Isle of Wight

C is making me think of Paddington (Praed St) while the Inset is Smallbrook Junction. I'm wondering if the link has something to do with these stations seeing both surface and tube rolling stock (the Inset having had tube stock in the past and surface stock currently).
