Apologies for creating another thread so soon.
If my memory is correct, it was mentioned in another thread that three '72MkI Stock trains ran for a brief period on the Northern line in refurbished state, although they stayed crew operated.
I wonder how the Guard's panels on these three refurbished trains looked like, and whether these trains had the door closing warning alarm...

Yes three complete 1972mk1 trains were fully refurbished but as you say they remained crew operated. I don’t recall seeing them at the time but I assume the same guards panels were retained perhaps with a colour change to match the other interior panels.
I’ve never seen a photo of the guards position post refurb but if anyone has one (or a link to one) I’m sure many people would be interested to see.
Of course the 3 units didn’t last long on the Northern being converted to one person operation (OPO) and sent to the Bakerloo either as complete trains or as individual cars to replace damaged Mk2 cars.
There was another Mk1 train 3202-3505? Which was painted in the new corporate livery but received no refurb and remained on the Northern until the end. Some of it lingered at Acton Works as a body spare until it was scrapped to make way of the building work.

I would also be interested to see a picture of what the refurbished trains look like overall.
I assume they basically looked like the current Bakerloo line trains but with Black grab poles and a different moquette?

If memory serves 3212 was one of the units transferred to the Bakerloo,think it was renumbered 3267.3203-3501 was the first to transfer became 3264-3564.

Thanks for posting these. I forgot they also received the revised windscreens like the Mark 2s.
The charcoal grab rails were complemented by having a charcoal )))))) pattern on the lower interior panels where the transverse seat bays are. These are brown on the mark 2 stock but the mark 1s on the Bakerloo retain the original ones albeit with brown grab rails.
The moquette was designed for the Northern line and was rolled out to quite a few of the 1959 stock operating at the time too. Looked quite smart- and probably looked better on the 59 stock!
