A bit of a long shot given that I have no idea on the two remaining locations, but could the link be that these are all stations one stop away from Stratford?

I wasn't sure at first but I believe that C is Canning Town. I also know what the link is but I won't say it just yet as it would give away what A is (since it's one of my pictures).

Although I'm still holding off on saying the link for a bit, I suppose I could take a shot at the odd one out. Is it A because all of the others are current or former North London Line stations?

A is not the odd one out, and the link is not related to the North London Line.

Now I can put down my answer for the link: All these stations are adjacent to crossings of the River Lea. I also realised since my last guess that Hackney Wick is the odd one out since it's the only one on the western side of the river.

Ah 'A' is a historical one then. The building site in the foreground is now built up, blocking most of the the view of much the buildings seen in the photo.
