They're definitely all Central line stations... A strong start, these are all Central Line stations, but there's more to it than that. ...but beyond that I get less certain Let's say A Ruislip Gardens Answer: Location A: Ruislip Gardens - roundel from doorway of train [Chris M] (click for a larger version) So still going strong! And here's where it starts to fall apart! See if this helps: Location B: (click for a larger version) A strong start and finish, just a shame about the middle! Location D: West Acton - westbound platform from train [Chris M] (click for a larger version) Location C: North Acton - stairs to platforms 2 and 3 [Chris M] (click for a larger version) This leaves location B (clue above) and the two insets to find. We know they're all Central Line locations, but we need to find out what the characteristic is that three of them share which the other is missing.

I would have guessed North Acton would be the odd one as all the others are 1 stop away from a terminus (even if it is possible to continue on round to Woodford from Hainault) I knew it wouldn't escape you! These locations are one stop from Central line reversing points, except North Acton which is a reversing point. So, insets anyone? Inset A: (click for a larger version) Inset C: (click for a larger version)
