Coming up an escalator at the weekend I was noticing the content displayed on the dynamic signs mounted between the units.
There were some really helpful ones such as "step off the escalator at the end". (However did we manage before these signs?)
One interesting one was: "Do not sit on the steps".
I realised that in all the decades I have been travelling on The Underground, I have only ever seen anyone doing that once - about a year ago - and I remember at the time I thought it odd that I'd never seen it before.
Has anyone seen this (daft) behaviour on a more regular basis (or at all)?
I've seen several people stumble at the end of the moving walkways at Waterloo, but I don't think I've ever seen anyone sitting on an escalator step. I have seen someone start trying to sit on the handrail of an escalator but they didn't manage to do it before their travelling companion told them in no uncertain terms how silly they were being.
